Jane Elizabeth (Beth) Brooks Terry

LAYTON a€" Jane Elizabeth (Beth) Brooks Terry, 89, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

She was born August 15, 1921 in Beaver, Utah the daughter of John Frederick and Levinah Elizabeth Allen Brooks.

Beth married Leroy Terry on June 27, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2006.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, Sunday School, Visiting Teacher and Sacrament Meeting Chorister.

Beth had a great love for music. Her greatest joy was participating in the family activities. She loved all kinds of needle work, having crocheted hundreds of afghans many of which were given away. What she was most known for is bread making, candy making, baking and canning. She always said, "It makes me the happiest when I''m with my whole family."

Surviving are her sons, L. Clyde (Sue) Terry, Kaysville; Rulon B. (Linda) Terry, Layton; Douglas J. (Gloria) Terry, Layton; Kelly W. (Karen) Terry, Layton; daughter, Della Terry (Gary) Youngberg, Layton; 27 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Leona Hardy and Hilda Barnett.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Park Street Chapel, 275 Park Ave, Layton. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
