Janet Olive Staples

Janet Olive Staples, 63, passed away at her home Monday, November 10, 2014, after a strong battle with cancer. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. There wasn’t a face she couldn’t bring a smile to and she never turned down a trip to Wendover with her husband of 43 years.

Janet is survived by her husband, Ralph Staples, Sr., her children, Elisa (John) Coones, Teresa (Carl) Quick, Patricia (David) Bouton, Ralph (Janna) Staples, Jr., Richard Staples, Ray Staples, Tammy Staples, Boyd (Sierra) Staples and Mike (Lurena) Colledge. She had 13 beautiful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Brigham Evans, and her siblings, Mary, Brigham, Jr., Pat, Paul, and Floyd, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her mother, Janet Olive Rasmussen-Evans, her daughter, Maria Staples, and her brother, Lyman Evans.

Janet was beautiful, loving and strong woman who will be missed by us all. Forever and always in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
