Janet Joanne Salmi Stipe

Janet Joanne Salmi Stipe, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was born on July 4, 1931 the daughter of Hilma Inez Salmi in Town of Hill, WI.

She was a member of the Elm Grove Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being a member of the Retirees Group and the Red Hat Society of the church.

Janet worked as a payroll clerk for US Bank and retired after many years of service.

On March 31, 1951, she married Marvin Harvey Stipe in Milwaukee, WI. Marvin passed away on July 26, 1988 after 37 years together.

Janet loved her family and lived for her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Christine (Dr. Mark) Eggert, Cynthia (Michael) Martin, Clarice Raabe, and Charlene (Steve) Schildwachter; seven grandchildren, Carie (Jeff), Jeff (Sophie), Nicholas, Angelica, Gabriella, Santiago, Ana Cecila, and Esteban; great-granddaughter, Caissa; a sister-in-law, Muriel Bingenheimer; and her cousins, Louise Larson, Jacob Larson and Phyllis Egenberger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, stepfather, son-in-law George Raabe, and brother-in-law Lowell Stipe.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Elm Grove Lutheran Church, 945 Terrace Dr., Elm Grove, WI. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Utah arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.

Interment, Wisconsin Memorial Park.
