Janet Bowers Wixom

Janet Bowers Wixom, age 67, passed away on February 19, 2024 at her home in Layton, Utah. She was born July 3, 1956 in Ogden, Utah to LeRoy and LaRee Adams Bowers.

She married Gary R. Wixom on December 15, 1973 in Layton, Utah.

Janet enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, diamond art.  She loved spending time together with her family and her grandchildren.  She really enjoyed exploring Germany and Europe with her husband Gary in 1999.

She is survived by her husband Gary Wixom, son Lance Wixom, daughters; Jamie (Jeff) Stettler and Heather (Jason) Boren, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and sister Marsha (Larry) Burnett.  She was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and LaRee Bowers, and her brother Alan Bowers.

The family wants to give a special thanks to all involved in the care of Janet at McKay-Dee Hospital and Inspiration Hospice.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
