Janice Jolley Hadley
May 17, 1941 ~ June 17, 2022
On Friday June 17, 2022, Janice Jolley Hadley, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, transitioned from this life at the age 81. Janice was born May 17, 1941, in Salt Lake City, UT, to Merlin Lloyd Jolley and Velma Spendlove.
When she was younger, Janice attended schools in Ogden, UT, including South Junior High, Weber High and Weber State, where she was active in sports. She was also a cheerleader in junior high and high school. She played softball with Woods Cross City and was a great bowler who competed in six national tournaments with a lady’s bowling team. During the summers, Janice golfed in the lady’s golf league at Davis Golf Course. When it was the winter, she could be found skiing with her family on fresh snow. Janice loved to also travel with her husband and friends. They enjoyed going to Pro Golf tournaments. They went on over a dozen cruises all over the world. Friends and family often considered Janice one of the luckiest people when she would go to Wendover to play slots.
She married Jay W Hadley on August 18, 1961, who she met at the age of 12 at girl’s camp, and they became friends during junior high and dated through high school and college. They had two children, Blake Hadley and Jill Evans.
Janice is survived by her husband, Jay Weldon Hadley; her children, Blake (Rachel) Hadley and Jill ( Marc) Evans; five grandchildren; her sister, Lois Petersen; and brother, Robert (Sherry) Jolley.
The family would like to thank Carli at Atlas Hospice for the care, support and love she provided for Janice.
The graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
