Janice C. Miller

September 21, 1933 — June 28, 2023

I was born September 21, 1933 in McGill, Nevada at home. Dr. Smirnoff delivered me to Glenda Adams and James Henry Cooper. I was the second of four children. James Robert (Bob), Jack William, and Mary Jill are all now deceased. I lived in McGill until I was seven. We then moved to Provo, Utah. I attended Juaquine Elementary and Farrer Junior High in Provo, Utah. In 1947 we moved to Fillmore, Utah. It was here I met and married Don A Duncan in 1949.  To this union were born my precious children, Bradley Don, Donna Jill, Jody Ann, Janet, Jean and Jamie.

Don and I later divorced. I married Ernest L Adams, later divorced. I married the love of my life, Omer L Miller, (Peck) in 1986. We were sealed in the Manti Temple for time and all eternity in 1987. With Peck came his step children, Wade Riser and Teri Eaton, making our family complete. My beloved grandchildren are Cam, Sherida, Mike, Kalina, Rachel,  Dana, Quint, Sasha, Conley, Collin, Aubree, Allen, Marissa, Chelsey, Ember, Peter, Timothy, Nathan, Sarah, Sandra, Whitnee, Andiya, Courtney, and Shelbey,  and great-grandchildren are Evan, Kolby, Taylor, Emma, Brooke, Molly, Finnegan, Alishava, Cealan, Ella Mae, Betty, Connor, Asher, Brynna, Lucy, Gabriella, Addyson, Logan, Aria, Alex, Charlotte, Jackson, Kolston, Grayson, Emmy, Hudson, Nora, Liam, Aurora, and Teddy.

I worked several jobs, all of which I enjoyed. My favorite was being a cook at Kearns high school, where I met many good friends, and Deseret Book in Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City, Utah. In Longmont, Colorado I helped older people in their homes. I met such wonderful people. One of them, Isabell, a sweet French/Mexican lady from New Mexico, taught me a great deal.

Peck and I retired to St. George, Utah in 1987. We loved St. George and had many friends. We enjoyed serving in the St. George LDS temple, along with traveling and visiting our children. I served in the primary, Sunday School, and 25 years in the Relief Society, with one short spell as president. I do admire people who can serve in responsible positions. In January 2021, Peck and I moved to Layton, Utah to be close to our children. I lived in the Layton Sunridge Assisted Living Center with my beloved husband, Peck, who still resides there.

On June 28, 2023 I passed peacefully with my family by my side, into the loving arms of my father in heaven, and my family members awaiting my return.

Survived by husband, Omer L. Miller, (Peck), children, Donna Jill Robison, Jody Ann Anderson, Janet Benthin (Michael), Jamie Spangle (Christopher),  Wade Riser (Eva), Teri Eaton, Tanya Duncan (daughter-in-law), Bertha Cooper (sister-in-law), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by daughter Jean, son Brad, sons-in-law Karl Anderson, Wayne Montgomery and Mark Eaton, and granddaughter Gabriella Faunce.

I and my family would like to express our gratitude to Sunridge Assisted Living of Layton and Aspire Home Health and Hospice for such loving care.
