Janice Billings Park of North Ogden, Utah, passed away at the age of 77, on April 15, 2024. The daughter of Alonzo Claude and Bertha (Barker) Billings, Jan was born January 28, 1947, in the Provo, Utah Valley Hospital.
She married Curtis Jay Park on January 24, 1969, in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had four children and traveled to places all over the US, Canada, and Europe, even living in Germany for five years under Curt’s civilian military contractor assignments. After coming back to the U.S., the family lived in Sonoma, California, for a time before returning to Utah and building their home in North Ogden where Jan lived for 38 years.
After retiring from her 30-year stretch as a bank teller, she relished the time retirement gave her to spend time with family. She enjoyed traveling, camping, theme parks, playing the steel guitar, listening to oldies, and crocheting. She was exceptionally generous with her time and means, much to the blessing of her children and grandchildren, who she devotedly spoiled.
Jan is survived by her son, Michael Park (wife Angel); daughter, Natalie Park Johnson (husband Landon); son, Chris Park (wife Elsie), nine grandchildren, all of North Ogden, UT., brother, Stephen Billings (wife Brenda) of Highland, UT., brother, Brent Billings (wife Carol) of Alexander, AR., sister, Sherri Jones of Meridian, ID., and sister, Tracy Billings of American Fork, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Jay Park; son, Heath Shawn Park; parents, Alonzo and Bertha Billings; sister, Colleen Martinsen; brother, Kim Billings; brother-in-law, Allan Jones; and nephew, Jason Billings.
