Janis Noyce White
Janis Noyce White, wife, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Ogden, Utah, ending a courageous and unwavering battle with several health challenges.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 20, 1949 to Wayne and Lucile Noyce. She graduated from West High School and then Utah State University majoring in Child Development.
Janis worked as a Play Therapist in Primary Children''s Hospital and the Pediatrics Unit at McKay-Dee Hospital.
She married Norman White on September 8, 1977 in the Salt Lake Temple. Though never blessed with children of her own, she mothered her nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, and neighborhood children.
She served in many capacities in the LDS Church, and especially enjoyed working with the primary children. She served as the Primary President in the Sunset Fourth Ward for more than fifteen years.
Janis, a hero towards many, shared her many talents with all. She will be remembered by her family, friends, and neighbors for her compassion and generosity.
She is survived by her husband, Norman, sisters Kay Little, Joleen Carli, and brothers Tim Noyce, Garry Noyce, and Richard Noyce, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Clinton 10th Ward, 702 W. 1300 N., Clinton. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
