Janne Killian Webster
March 8, 1929 – January 3, 2018
Janne Killian Webster, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Fairfield Village in Layton, Utah.
A Kaysville native, Janne was born March 8, 1929 to Reva (Sheffield) and Rulon Killian. She completed her education with graduation from Davis High School in 1946. In June of that year she and her second grade boyfriend (and high school sweetheart), Jay L. Webster were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple the following June. They became the parents of eight children.
An avid reader herself, Janne blessed the lives of countless readers, working many years for the Davis County Library System.
Janne’s pioneer heritage translated into faithful service in the LDS church. She joyfully served in many callings and particularly loved teaching the gospel to primary children through music. Her children were taught, inspired and blessed by her gift of music in their home. She enjoyed singing several years with Jay Welch Chorale and was offered a place in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir; we envision her now lifting her voice in heavenly Choirs.
Janne is survived by; daughters, Nanette (Barton) Lunt of Conroe, TX, and Candace (Stan) Bell of Idaho Falls, ID; sons Kelly (Edith), Kirk (Michele), Blake (Dianne), Jepp (Toni), Todd (Susan), Drew (Tammy), all of northern Utah. 42 grandchildren who all thought they were her favorite, 85 beloved great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Janne was preceded in death by her husband, Jay, her parents, her brother, James Killian, sister, Jody Olsen, daughter-in-law, Yolanda (Jones) Webster, grandsons Bryan Scott Lunt and Ryan Jay Bell, great-granddaughters Kaili Webster and Gracie Webster and a great grandson Kevin Webster.
Many thanks to the kind attentive caregivers at Fairfield Village Memory Care and Inspiration Hospice.
