Jared Gold

July 16, 1976 — January 20, 2019

Jared Michael Gold, resident of Layton, Utah died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at home of natural causes.  Jared was born in Frankfurt, Germany and adopted by his mom and dad who were stationed there in the U.S. Army.  He was raised and loved in a blended family who encouraged and nurtured him.

Jared was sealed to his parents in the Switzerland Temple, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held the office of Priest.  He had challenges from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, but lived happily, learned to draw pictures, ride a bicycle, use a phone, and tried everything.  He sang songs, loved music, prepared the Sacrament, loved his family, helped bake, liked Spiderman super-hero, prayed at meals, danced, had many friends, loved dogs, and enjoyed Young Men’s activities.  These are many of the great facets of Jared’s compassionate personality.  He lived a full life of 42 years and 6 months, and completed his mission of allowing us to enjoy and serve him.

Survived by: father D. Gold (Linda) of Layton, UT; mother Barbara Ramsey (Dana) of Layton, UT; brothers Carey, Shane, Matthew, Kevin, and David; sisters, Tara, Loni, Angie, RaeAnn and Elizabeth; 10 sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; 19 nieces and nephews, 5 great-nieces and great-nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by his sister Jessica, grandparents Joel and Nellie Gold, William and Iris Dennis, and Esther B. Dunn; by nephew Aaron and niece Makala.
