JASMYN KATHLEEN NELSON
"JAS"
7 Nov 2010
On November 7th, 2010, our beautiful little princess Jasmyn returned to heaven after 12 short years of blessing our lives with the gift of her presence.
Jasmyn was born September 24, 1998 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter Peter & Stephanie Nelson. The family moved to Clearfield, Utah in the winter of 2002. Jasmyn was a student of Holt Elementary School, Syracuse Arts Academy, and Bravo Music Academy. She cherished her many friends, family, and teachers.
Her BFFs were Mayra, Hannah, Shelby, Katie, and too many others to list but were truly adored by her. She was known by the many nicknames given to her by family and friends, some of which were: "Huggy Buggy, Fred, Jazzmatazz, Zebwa, Sugar Booger, Spitfire, Jazzerciser," and too many more to list.
She loved playing her guitar, watching her favorite shows, going to concerts with her mother, hanging out at the mall with her friends, and going flying with her dad. Jasmyn wanted to be many things when she grew up, the latest of which was a police officer. She loved music, and loved a lot of the same music her parents listened to. She was a wonderful big sister to Elise Rose, and she protected her sister from harm and acted like a second mother to her. She loved to go camping with the family, especially sightseeing, hiking, sitting around the campfire and telling ghost stories. She loved to travel, and often dreamed of visiting Japan, Germany, and the Caribbean.
Jasmyn is survived by: Parents Peter & Stephanie, her younger sister Elise, grandparents Paul & Kathi Nelson, Lee & Kathy Schaffer; aunts Stacey Schaffer, Stacey Nelson, Natalie, Breanna, Stephanie, Dani, Kayla, and Courtney Nelson; her cousins Bode Elgan, Aubrey and Ada Donahue, Sienna and Lillian Nelson, and McKenna and Saleena Kelly. Jasmyn is preceded in death by her great grandparents Richard and Reta Nelson, Helen and Jack Barrett, her great aunt Sis, and cousin Star El.
