Jason Andrew Budrow
LAYTON a" Jason Andrew Budrow, 34 passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at his home in Layton, UT.
Jason was born on May 12, 1975 in Ogden, UT to Brent Budrow and Cathy Callister-Miller.
On June 12, 1993 he married Elsie Marie Rollins his soul mate; they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple on September 4, 1998. Together they have three children; Chelsie (15), Katie (13) and Tyler (10).
Jason is a member of the LDS Church; he served over 10 years in the Young Men''s Presidency.
In the spring of 1997 Jason was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2) a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on the nerves though out the body. By the fall of 1997 in the process of removing the first of many tumors Jason had lost both audio nerves leaving him completely deaf and the left-side of his face paralyzed. Most people would have sat down and quit but not Jason, he continued to support his family by working at Pizza Hut delivering pizza, mainly in the Roy area. During the last eleven months of his life this disease physically took so much from him; his ability to eat, speak, walk, and breathe but it did not take away his desire to live, to have the biggest Farm on Facebook, to drink Dr Pepper, to play video games with his kids, watch NASCAR and be a BYU fan but more importantly to just be with his entire family and see his children grow-up. Jason will remain a strength to many as he taught us all; you "Got to have Faith".
Surviving are his wife, their three children, his parents; Claude and Cathy Payne (Roy, UT) and Brent and Donna Budrow (Rock Springs, WY). His siblings; Amy (Jamey) Dodson, Robert (Marjorie) Budrow, Jennifer (Eric) Gardner, Rachel and Kaylee Budrow. His grandparents; Dorothy and Sherwin Larsen and his in-laws; Wayne and Carla Newman, one sister-in-law and four brother in-laws. Jason had a total of 22 nieces and nephews which he loved to tease. He is preceded in death by two sets of grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank Dr. Porter (IHC), Dr. Shelton (U of U) and Dr. Owens for the medical care they provided to Jason over the past 12 years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Layton Stake Center, 60 West Gordon. Friends and family may call Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the Church.
