On September 8, 2011, Jason Daniel Hammer was taken from this world prematurely.

Jason Daniel Hammer was born premature on June 15, 1981. Jason was his own person always walking to the sound of his own drum. He was a true friend, loyal to a fault. He loved sports; they were his passion. He loved his family and friends he loved to tease everyone; this was simply Jason''s way of letting you know he truly cared about you. Jason could always make people laugh and more importantly, he knew it was okay to laugh at himself, he always said, "If you can''t laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?" Jason lived his life always being true to himself. He stood for what he believed never faltering. Jason was a seeker of new knowledge, a passionate believer in loyalty and above all a perfect example of a true friend.

Jason will be missed and remembered by his parents, Daniel (Leann) Hammer, Gail (Brent) Larsen, his brother and sisters: Ashley, Rusty, Rachel, Aimee, Cassie and Kassidy, his step brothers and sister: Jason Jones, Jackie (Tim) Lucero and Joshua Lowell, his grandfather Richard Smuin, his grandmother Rhea W. Hammer, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jason was very close to his Uncle Russell Smuin and his cousins: Maryann Archibald Jones, Donald Archibald and Matthew Forsyth.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ralph Hammer and grandmother Larue Smuin.

A memorial for friends and family to share memories will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Jason, you will always be; FASTER THAN A SPEEDING BULLET, MORE POWERFUL THAN A STEAM LOCOMOTIVE, AND ABLE TO LEAP TALL BUILDINGS IN A SINGLE BOUND. Jason you will forever be our SUPERMAN.
