SUNSET a€" Jason Matthew Martinez, 33, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at his home.

He was born February 16, 1979 in Layton, Utah the son of Max A. and Belma Martinez.

Jason was a member of the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church and worked at HAFB as a sheet metal mechanic.

Jason had a personality and smile that lit up a room. His personality touched everyone and resulted in friends and associates beyond imagination. For years Jason spoke to, and mentored many.

Jason''s two boys and his family were his life and made him the happiest. Jason loved working out and spent numerous hours in the gym. He loved watching his boys play football.

Surviving are his sons, Isaac M. Martinez, Andrew H. Martinez (their mother Lupita Moreno), mother Belma Martinez, grandmother, Bernice Martinez, brothers, Lonnie A. (Lark) Martinez, Marty J. (Melanie) Martinez, Kelly A. Martinez, sisters, Tami V. Martinez, Lisa M. (Kenny) Martinez, James A. Fennell (very close family friend, considered part of the family), uncle Harold Martinez, many nieces and nephews and especially his little buddy Nano.

Preceded in death by the best dad and his buddy Max A. Martinez, niece Mysteree Martinez, grandfathers, Max Martinez, John Sanchez and grandmother Mary Sanchez.

We love you Jason and will miss your beautiful smile and your contagious laughter.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 South Chapel Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
