JASON WESLEY SELLS

June 21, 1983 ~ June 20, 2015

Jason Wesley Sells, 31 and 364 days old, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 from his lifelong complications with Epilepsy.

He was born June 21, 1983 in Layton Utah to Tommy Lee Sells and Tamara Kaye Downing.

Jason was a member of The Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints, where he was an Eagle Scout and served a mission at Temple Square Service Mission.

He had an incredibly creative mind. Through his RPG games or eccentric storytelling he shared his knowledge with many. He surrounded himself with a group of like-minded friends and their loyalty to each other is beyond measure. His love of travel ran deep in his veins. Having been to 48 states with his family before his 19th birthday cemented the desire. He worked in Yellowstone National Park, went on multiple road trips with his father, brother, and Grandpa Downing, and was always prepared for travel at a moment’s notice. He always was proud of the fact that his Birthday is on the summer solstice. He loved collecting eclectic items such as rocks, keychains and empty glass bottles. His thirst for knowledge was astounding, he would go to the library frequently and read to kids as often as he could.

Jason is survived by his parents, his brother, Scott Sells, his sister, Taryn (Jeff) Sawyer, grandparents, Loren and Jeanine Downing, Larry and Doris Wolford, also his niece Joryn, and nephews, Gabriel and Julian, whom he adored. And not forgotten his furry friend Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends prior to the services from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Syracuse Cemetery.
