Jay Steven Byington “Jay Bird”

Jay Steven Byington “Jay Bird”, 59, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 peacefully in his sleep.  Jay was born on June 25, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Leonard and Vivian Byington.

Jay worked for HAFB and the Davis County School District as well as the Coca Cola Company. He had a passion for cars and could always be found in the garage fixing up his cars or helping a friend.  Jay enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fishing were the times he was happiest. He always enjoyed a cold Coke and the love of his family.

Jay is survived by his sisters, Fay and Linda; his children, Matt, Brandon, Brock, and Johnathan; as well as many cousins, grandchildren, and close friends.  Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and Leonard; his brothers, LaMont, Alan, and Dale.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
