Jean Ann Alley

Jean Ann Alley, 87, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born February 17, 1937, in Beatrice, Nebraska, a daughter of Daniel H. and Evelyn Ruhl. She was raised and educated in Beatrice, Nebraska. 

She moved to Orange, California, and met and married Robert Carrol Alley on January 18, 1957, in Santa Ana, California. After living in California for 25 years, Robert and Jean moved to North Ogden, Utah, in 1982, where she has lived for the past 42 years. Robert passed away on October 15, 1994. 

While in Orange County, California, Jean worked for the Board of Realtors in Santa Ana and Fluidmaster in Fullerton, working the two jobs for a total of about 25 years. Once they relocated to North Ogden, Jean worked at Bourns Inc. until they closed in the early 2000s.

Jean is survived by her son, Thomas Wesley Alley; her brother, Harold Ruhl; her sister-in-law, Vonnie Alley; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son Chris Daniel Alley; her parents; sister, Virgina Ruhl; and brother, Dale Ruhl. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
