Jean Richardson Burnett

February 24, 1926 ~ February 6, 2017

Jean Richardson Burnett, age 90, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, in Yakima, WA, where she lived by her son.

Jean was born on February 24, 1926 to Angus and Elizabeth Richardson, in Ogden, Utah.  She married her eternal sweetheart, Douglas W. Burnett in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 10, 1948.

Jean’s great loves were her family, her friends, and being of service to others. She and Doug served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Perth, Australia, and to Cape Town, South Africa, where they loved the people they met.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Doug; her brother, Val Richardson; and a great-grandson, Keith Burnett.  She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Rick) Tolman, Liberty, Utah; and son, Kevin (Ellen) Burnett, Yakima, Washington; 10 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was always a lady and will be remembered for her kindness to ALL!

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
