Jean Berger Johnson

SUNSET – Jean Berger Johnson, 73, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born July 5, 1940 in Logan, Utah the daughter of George Albert and Hazel McBride Berger. Jean married Wayne K. Johnson on November 18, 1959 in the Logan LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Sunset 1st Ward and served a mission with her husband in Grafton West Virginia. Her family was the love of her life. Surviving are her husband Wayne, son, Merrill (Pam) Johnson, Riverdale; four daughters, Kaye (David) Becker, Clinton; Laurie (Lynn) Bishop, Manti; Sherry (Craig) Smith, Washington Terrace; RaNae (Dave) VanOrden, Layton; 37 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley McConnell, Clinton. Preceded in death by parents, three sisters, Leona Sedlacek, Dorothy Smith and Joyce Daugherty. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Sunset 1st Ward, 2431 No. 250 W., Sunset, Utah. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sherry Lynne Smith at America First Credit Union or to a family member.
