Jean Power Knudson
UINTAH a" Jean Power Knudson passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Thatcher Brook Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 16, 1927 in Ogden, Utah to Thomas Forester and Violet Jean Bune Power. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1945 and attended Utah State University.
Jean married William "Bill" Orvel Knudson on July 15, 1948 in Winnemucca, Nevada. Bill and Jean were a very loving and dedicated couple.
Jean and Bill founded the W.O. Knudson Construction Company and Cottonwood Mobile Home Estates where she kept the books. She worked in Dr. Rich''s office and the offices at Bonneville and Weber High Schools.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, square-dancing, and taking care of her family. Bill and Jean loved square-dancing and made many lifelong friends there. She seemed to be the happiest when she could help and be involved with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at their family cabin in Island Park, Idaho and their winter home in Mesa, Arizona.
Jean is survived by her children, L. Craig Knudson, Salt Lake City; Darrell (Christina) Knudson, Firth, Idaho; Maxine (Vernon) Wheatley, Hooper; and Scott (Kisten) Knudson, Uintah; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Violet Nicholson, Ogden and Marion Power, Concord, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and brother, Thomas William Power.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Uintah Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
