Jean Busico Santarelli

July 18, 1923 ~ April 23, 2017

Jean Busico Santarelli, 93, passed away on April 23, 2017.  She was born on July 18, 1923 in Tooele, UT, to Giovanni Busico and Pasqualina Petetti.  After graduating from Ogden High School, she worked for the Union Pacific Railroad laundry, HAFB, Paramount Dairy, and America Food Grocery Store.  She then retired from St. Benedict’s Hospital in 1985 after 14 years of service.

Jean married Angelo Santarelli on April 27, 1946 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Holy Family Catholic Church.

Her interest through the years has always been family get-togethers!  She has always loved to cook and entertain for family and friends.  She enjoys crocheting and sharing her slippers and other items with everyone she meets!

Jean is survived by her husband, Angelo Santarelli, South Ogden; daughters, Janice (Lee) Montgomery, Roy, UT and Diane (Doug) Hadley, Ogden, UT; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Busico, Riverdale, UT; and sisters, Flora Palmieri, South Ogden and Lucy Sherman, Albany, OR.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Pasqualina; her brother, Tony Busico; her sister, Lena Carter; and her granddaughter, Breann Angela Hadley.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, South Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living for all their devoted care and concerns for our mother and Envision Home Health and Hospice Care for taking wonderful care of our Mom especially Teasha and Susan.
