Jean Ann Smith passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at her home.

She was born November 3, 1944 in Salt Lake City to Roscoe Alan and Eva Thelma Bowen Smith. She lived in Provo for four years and Salt Lake City for 45 years. She attended LDS Business School and Ricks College for two years.

Jean Ann was a pianist and was the organist for many years in her Salt Lake Ward. She was a beautiful piano player and loved playing for anyone who wanted to listen or sing. She was a candy-striper for Twin Falls Hospital in her younger years and enjoyed helping those in need. She was always giving to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Veterans Administration. Jean Ann loved to sing and sang in the Utah Oratorio Society Choir at Christmas time, for many years.

Her nieces and nephews were her interest in life. She loved to keep up with what and how they were doing.

Jean Ann is survived by her siblings, Darrell B. (Cheryl) Smith, Karen S. (Neal M.) Christensen, Connie Mae Smith, Lynette S. (James D.) Williams, and Alana Joy (Jack) Kraft. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Alan Smith.

The family extends a special thanks to Taylor Pippino, Jean’s care-giver, for her love and care.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
