Jean Young Jensen Stockhaus

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the age of 91.

Jean was born in Price, Utah on March 13, 1923 and was married to Lloyd Jesse Jensen and Otto Gustaf Stockhaus.

Jean and her family lived in Davis County, Utah for most of their lives.

She is survived by her daughters, Julia Jensen, Joy Peasley, Diana Schippers (Glen Schippers), and son, Shaun Stockhaus (Kaci), grandchildren, Jennifer Child (Gloria Shirley), Tiffany Nelson (Mike Nelson), Dustin Jensen, Tyler Jensen, Kelly Keyser, Tate Mitchell , Misty Stockhaus, Nick Uremovich, Codee Stockhaus, Carson Stockhaus, Holly Stockhaus, Elisa Stockhaus, and eight great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd J. Jensen and Otto Stockhaus, three sisters, Margie Young, Clara Lee Young and Louise Young, one brother Jim Young, one daughter, Joanne Mitchell, one son Richard Jensen and her dog Koko.

May she rest in peace and take solace in knowing that she lived a loving selfless life with a great sense of humor, fought a good fight, and is free from pain and the restraints of her body.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Syracuse City Cemetery. Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 and 1:30 pm. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
