Jean M. Thompson
OGDEN – Jean M. Thompson, 85, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Ogden of lung cancer.
She was born December 20, 1921 in Bessemer, Michigan, a daughter of Bernard and Inez Ruth Grant Molitor.
On October 26, 1941, Jean married Alvin O. Thompson in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Alvin preceded her in death in November of 1984.
She lived in Wisconsin for 15 years; Florida 10 years; Fairfax, Virginia four years; Denver, Colorado five years; and in Ogden for 15 years.
Jean was a member of the Methodist Church.
She worked as a cook, bookkeeper and nurses aide.
Jean was a member of the American Association of Business Women. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, cookbooks, traveling and most of all, spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Robert Lewsen, Ogden; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kelly and Steve Sarandis, Winchester, MA; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mike and Ingrid Kauffman, Las Vegas, NV; three great-grandchildren; and stepson, Patrick (Lydia) Lewsen, Leesburg, VA; and his two children.
Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Loren Molitor, Kenosha, WI; Joyce Kuhlman, Topeka, KS; Ruth Briney, Niles, MI.
Preceding Jean in death were her husband, Alvin “Tommy” Thompson, son, Bernard Thompson, daughter, Cynthia Thompson, brother, Fred Molitor, and her parents.

Memorial services will be held Monday, May 21 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.
