Jean Melissa Graham Woodfield

NORTH OGDEN – Jean Melissa Graham Woodfield went to rest in the arms of loved ones on August 15, 2013. Jean was born on September 3, 1924 to Robert Gordon and Gracie LaCour Graham in Morgan, Utah. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1942 where she played the violin with the orchestra and the piano for the glee club. Jean on June 15, 1942 went to Thomas Dee Memorial School for Nursing where she graduated in 1945 as an RN. Jean married the love of her life Ned H. Woodfield on June 19, 1946; they were married for 54 years until his passing in May of 2000. Jeans hobbies were knitting sweaters, Afghans, needle work of all kind, housework, reading and taking care of her cats. She worked at Dee Hospital from 1946 to 1956. She worked for Dr. Catlin and Dr. Lowe for 25 years. Jean also worked for Dr. Archibald from 1981 to 1989. Jean and Ned loved Jack Dale Kunz who was like a son for over 50 years. Jack and his family were with her until the end. A very special thanks to Candice and Sierra Kunz for all the care and loving devotion they were able to give Jean. A special thanks to Hospice Care of Northern Utah for their loving care; thanks to Heather, Shelley, and all their staff, we truly think you are angels, Jack and Peggy Kunz, Candice Kunz Taylor, Kitt Taylor, Sierra Kunz and Jean’s “little baby” Jordyn Taylor. We will truly miss you Jean. Another bell has rung and our angel has gone to heaven. We were blessed by her spirit and love. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary. In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice Care of Northern Utah would be greatly appreciated.
