Jeanell Nelson Evans
Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Jeanell Nelson Evans, returned to her Heavenly Father and the loving arms of her eternal companion March 1, 2011 at the home of her daughter.
She was born on the 4th of July 1922, her sweethearts little firecracker in Milton, Utah to Victor J. and Leona Elizabeth Boyce Nelson.
She married Willis (Bill) Forbes Evans in the Salt Lake Temple on August 27, 1941. She was active in the LDS Church serving in many church callings including Stake Missionary, Stake Beehive Program and ward Relief Society President.
She loved spending time with her family and working in her yard. She is well known for the many beautiful quilts she made.
Bill preceded her in death April 10, 1999. Surviving her is a daughter Evelyn Taylor (Stan), Layton; and a son James (Jim) Evans (Tara), Ogden, her grandchildren Tina Davis (Russell), Eric Wagner (Shari), Karen Evans, Cheryl Evans, her great-grandchildren Sara, Kyle, Kendall Davis, Britni, Seini, Kalani, Liam Wagner and Philip Jennings.
Also surviving are two sisters Connie Clark (Eddy), Apple Valley, CA; and Carol Joy Blonquist (Clifton), Coalville, UT; and one brother Gaylen Clark, CA.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Avon Forbes and Nadean Kelly, brothers Wayne Nelson, Conrad Nelson, John Clark and Del Clark.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
