Jeanene Funk Shomer

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Jeanene Funk Shomer, 73, passed away on September 14, 2013.

She was born on October 7, 1939 in Malad, Idaho, a daughter to Harold T. and Harriett White Funk. She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School.

Jeanene married Kenneth L. Shomer and together they had two sons. They later divorced. She worked at Hill Air Force Base in Quality Control Management until her retirement. She dearly loved her family and was passionate about art and photography.

Jeanene is survived by her two sons, Michael and Steven Shomer; grandson, Christian Shomer; and sisters Venna (Roy) Dippold and Lorna (Ray) Cox.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Hal Funk.

Graveside services will be held on September 28, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
