On April 30, 2023, Jeanne Bingham passed away at the age of 81 in West Haven, Utah. It was hard to see her suffer for so long and a blessing she wasn’t alone when she passed. We love her and will miss her! Mom required a lot of extra help at the assisted living facility, especially at the end, and we appreciate the hospice and other workers who were kind and were able to appreciate her feistiness while she dealt with the frustrations of her declining health.
Jeanne was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 28, 1942, the first of six children to Walter Frank Minster and Lorna Maxine Lowther. She spent most of her youth living in South Ogden and went to the old Weber High School. She was married to Daniel Albert Bingham in 1960, when she was almost 18. Over the course of the next 19 years, they had seven children: Kevin, Kent, Randy (who died shortly after birth), Lynda, Michelle, Angie, and Brady. They divorced in 1987.
The majority of Jeanne’s employment was with the Federal Government, working in clerical jobs both at IRS and Hill Air Force Base. She retired in 1998. She enjoyed cleaning (!), dancing, TV, movies, and especially shopping.
Mom is survived by her children: Kevin, Plano, TX; Kent (Cheri), Washington Terrace; Lynda, South Ogden; Michelle Belnap, Centerville; Angie Hill (Brad), Roy; and Brady (Sarah), Roy; nine grandchildren Chelsea Cawley (Matt), Drew Bingham (Laney), Alexa Knighton (Kolton), Dax Bingham, Braeden Belnap (Madison), Brendan Hill (Chantel), Colton Hill (Alyssa), Austin Hill, and Ashton Hill; seven great-grandchildren: Naomi, Levi, and Gwen Cawley; Lily and Jonah Bingham; Jace Knighton; and Calven Hill; all her siblings: Jim Minster (Nancy), South Ogden; Steve Minster (Peggy), Hooper; Brent Minster (Melva), Morgan; Marianne Dowden (Marv), West Haven; and Bob Minster (Debbie), Uintah. Mom was not able to see her great-grandchildren much in person, but always loved seeing photos and videos of them.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randy; a granddaughter, Kristina; and a nephew, Greg Minster.
