Jeanne Taylor Wardle 1939-2013

Bountiful, UT With deep sadness in our hearts we say goodbye to Jeanne Taylor Wardle; loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She passed away at home on April 27, 2013.

Jeanne was born June 30, 1939 in Salt Lake City to Benjamin and Kate Taylor. She graduated from West High School. In 1961, she married Bill Wardle, settled in Bountiful and there raised five children.

Jeanne found great joy in the relationships she had with her neighbors, co-workers and friends. However, her family was everything to her and she continuously gave of her time and many talents on their behalf. She was known as a gourmet cook, a gifted musician, an expert seamstress, and could build anything. Whether it was a home or yard project with her husband, cooking for her family or other large groups (many will miss her famous Saturday morning pancakes), building a pinewood derby car with her sons, or sewing a dress for her daughters -- there was no project she shied away from. She was also a proficient bookkeeper and worked in that field for over 20 years.

Jeanne had a love for music. She was gifted vocalist and had a fine-tuned ear. She sang for many years with Shubert Singers and the UPALCO show group. She served as the ward chorister for many years and loved maintaining that connection with music. As her mind began to forget the recent details of the day, it never forgot the words to a song.

She loved and was loved by her husband, Bill, and together they saw the world. She found great joy in exploring the western states with her family. They loved visiting Yellowstone, the Northwest or just spending time at the cabin.

Mom, although your health waned in the last months, you never did. You were charitable, compassionate and loving to anyone you came in contact with, regardless of whom it was or the circumstances around a situation. You were appreciative and grateful for any kindness shown until the very end. To know you was to love you and to be loved. Every moment with you, every hour spent in conversation has changed us all for the better.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Rick, Bountiful; Kathy (Jerry), Saratoga Springs; Lisa, Durham, NC; Heidi (Brian), Kaysville; Brad (Sarah), Kaysville; ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Also survived by her siblings; Don Taylor, Sandra Van Leeuwen (Tom), Nettie Pendley (Charles), Kae Skinner (Mike) and Rae Hoyt (Billy). She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and her grandson, Tristin.
