Together Forever

Jeannine Perry Matthews passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017.

Jeannine was born June 17, 1930 in Cedar City, Utah, to Mildred Beatty Granger and John Theodor Perry.

She married the love of her life, Frank Joseph Matthews, on April 2, 1955 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 3 children together.

Jeannie and Frank were able to live in many different places around the world. They were stationed in Santiago, Chile; Sacramento, California; New Delhi, India; and Orlando, Florida. After her husband's military retirement, Jeannine worked as a Contract Specialist at Hill Air Force Base where she retired. Jeannine loved selling Avon and the many friends she made along the way. Jeannine spent many hours tole painting and sold her crafts at booths in Salt Lake City and Elko.

Jeannine is survived by her three children: Joanne (Wynn) Hall, Mark (Heidi) Matthews, and David Matthews; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two on the way. She is also survived by her sister Delores (Kent) Whittaker, brother Terry (Vernita) Granger, and sister-in-law Jackie Granger.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Matthews, mother Mildred Granger, father John Theodor Perry, and brother George Granger.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden.
