Jedediah Montana Ostler, 30, passed away at home in North Ogden, Utah on June 21 2017. Jed was born on December 30 1986 in El Paso Texas to Robert Lucas and Rebecca Ostler.

Jede was a sweet baby with an infectious laugh. A boy with a heart of gold and a zest for life.  Jed was always ready for an adventure. Along his adventures, he became somewhat of a mischievous child – which was part of his greatness.  As quickly as he could get into trouble, he was equally as quick to jump in and help anyone in need.

As a passionate soul, Jed did what everyone hopes to do and followed his dreams.  He enjoyed people, being outdoors, camping, hiking, snowboarding, skiing and riding ATV’s.

He had a business blowing glass, creating some amazing works of art. Jed was also taught roofing at an early age by his father and uncles. He was currently studying to become a pilot.

Although Jed had his struggles, he was available for his family and friends when they needed him.  Jed had a kind heart and was close with so many people, especially his family.

Jed is survived by his parents, Rebecca Ostler and Robert Lucas; his sisters, Mariah Ostler and Raine Ostler; his brothers, Elijah Ostler, Max Ostler and Marty Ostler; and his long-time girlfriend Vanessa Zavala.

In honor of Jedediah, a funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.  The family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the mortuary.

An account has been created in Jed’s name at the Wasatch Credit Union to help with funeral expenses.
