Jeff A. Clontz
OGDEN – Jeff Alen Clontz, 79, died Monday, July 6, 2009 at his home in Ogden.
He was born May 4, 1930 in Ogden, a son of Alvie Ernest and Elsie Marie Downs Clontz.
On June 11, 1999, Jeff married Mary Fielding Headley in Winnemucca, Nevada.
He worked as an electrician for many years. He also worked on the Alaska Pipeline with several stories to tell for years.
Jeff enjoyed reading and visiting with family and friends. He also loved assisting others with their electrical problems and would drive for hours to help out. Jeff was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion for 60 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, of Ogden; one son, Jeffrey (Susan) Clontz, Plain City; four daughters, Janet (Rick) Bojak, West Jordan; Joy Clontz, Las Vegas, NV; Jill Frogley, Aptos, CA; Selma (Victor) Bailey, Roy; two stepsons and one stepdaughter, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Ernie Clontz, Roy, UT; and two sisters, Selma Fargo, Sacramento, CA; and Carma Cox, Portland, OR.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Greg Clontz and Alvie Clontz, and sister, Patty Ann Clontz.
The family expresses special thanks to Applegate Homecare and Hospice especially Peter, Jean, Jessica, Julie and Deanna; and to Drs. Weis and Fritinger of the Veterans Hospital.
Graveside memorial services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
