Jeffery Gene Anderson

Jeffery Gene Anderson, 59, made the journey home to his Heavenly Father Thursday, March 14, 2013 from a traumatic brain injury sustained after a fall in his home.

Jeff was born in Los Angeles, California. He was very intelligent and graduated a year early from Granada Hills High School. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fulfilling many callings.

Jeff was a lifelong patriot and served his country in the United States Army, 19th Special Forces Group as a Sniper.

He was passionate about and loved working on automobiles. His extensive knowledge and expertise with engines, transmissions, fuel systems and electronics made him a "wizard". Any car, any problem, anytime, we called Jeff. He loved to drive fast, and throughout his life, starting at a young age, he bought, built, raced and sold several high performance muscle cars.

Jeff was a man of warmth and authenticity, whose nature was to keep the golden rule and whose faults all leaned toward virtue''s side.

He has left a large circle of devoted family members to mourn his departure. As a son, father, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend, we will miss him. He will never lose the hold he has gained upon the hearts and souls of those who loved him most. To us, he was brilliant, fiercely independent, and sometimes irascible but always honest. His passing symbolizes a stormy, dreary day in our family history.

He is survived by a daughter Jaime and three grandchildren, Nichole, Nathan, and Jaiden; his mother Anita; four brothers, Ken (Chris), Tom (Renee), Rick (Jill) and Mike (Peggy); one sister, Carol (Barry) Harber and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery 526 East 2850 North in North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests an expression of sympathy through memorial contributions donated to the "Wounded Warrior Project" (woundedwarriorproject.org) a non-profit organization dedicated to helping thousands of brave injured warriors returning home from the current conflicts and to provide assistance to their families.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated and skilled professionals at McKay Dee Hospital.

"And when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he will make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night, and pay no worship to the garish sun."
