Jeffery “Jeff” Lynn Schultz

Our beloved companion, father, son, brother and friend passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 27, 2015 from a massive heart attack while driving his big rig on I-80 and mile marker 36.  God was watching over him as he drove off the highway into the mud and avoided any accidents.

Jeff was a hard working man that loved the trucking business and drove all over the United States, recording over a million miles in his career of 25 years, first working for McEwen Trucking company in Corunna Michigan, then the last 5 years for Pride Transport in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He loved having his sweetheart Debra Lynn ride along with him whenever she got the chance, and skip out to Wendover to have a good time.  Jeff and Debra had many memorable experiences together in their 5 year courtship and got to see many new places through their travels together.

Jeff was happy to have his son Josh come out here to Utah from Michigan a year ago to live and be close to him.  Josh wrote an article at school about his dad when he was young; Treasured Memory – My dad and I were at a Lions football game with my dad’s friend.  We wanted to have fun and we did.  The Lions won!  We had seats near the 50 yard line.  We could see everything.  We had snacks and lunch at the Silver Dome.  It was a very happy day I spent with my dad.

Jeff also enjoyed bar-b-queuing and fishing on his down time.  He was also a big fan of Nascar and terrorizing their cat Sam.

He leaves behind his mother Sharon Schultz, sweetheart Debra Lynn McKean, son Joshua Schultz, Sam the cat, brothers Russ, Donald Jr. , and Scott Schultz, sisters Shawn and Shari Schultz.

He is preceded in death by his father Donald F. Schultz.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at a later date that will be announced.
