Jeffrey Robert Adams
KAYSVILLE - Jeffrey Robert Adams, born February 17, 1981, to Carol and Robert Adams, died on March 16, 2009. He suffered for many years with mental illness, which caused a lot of heart-wrenching anguish for Jeff and his family.
The illness created an interference and chaos that conflicted with the real core of Jeff, his ambitions and potential. In spite of these barriers, the real Jeff we know is this: Jeff had a good heart and Jeff loved people. He was outgoing and would initiate conversations with strangers, people he found interesting, or people who he thought he could relate to or who needed a lift. He was empathetic and looked for opportunities to share his gifts.
Jeff tried to live with sincerity and honesty. He had a frankness and openness that sometimes surprised people, but was refreshing and authentic. He had a zest for learning, and found topics of great interest to him, often immersing himself deeply, and teaching himself about them. He enjoyed sharing these things with his friends and family, inviting them to join with him on his discoveries. Jeff was a deep thinker and a talented writer. He was very creative and inventive, authoring screenplays, a comic book, and short stories, as well as composing several original piano pieces. Jeff loved movies, and hoped and dreamed of making his own feature-length film. Jeff appreciated spending time in nature. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and boating with his family. Jeff especially loved the water.
Jeff is survived by his parents Robert and Carol Adams of Kaysville, sisters Heidi Campbell (Nate) of Twin Falls, ID and Jill Adams (Kim) of Evanston, WY, brothers Andrew Adams (Kelli) of Ogden and Joshua Adams of Kaysville, grandparents Boyd and Valeen Sullivan of Layton, niece Charli, nephew Quinn, and his cat Geo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (namiut.org).
Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main Street. Family and friends are invited to gather Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
We love you, Jeff. You touched our lives forever.
