Jeffrey Roger Gomez

Our sweet Star Wars loving guy, Jeffrey Roger Gomez, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024. He was born on May 5, 1976, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Archie Ray and Lynda Jensen Gomez. Jeff grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1994.

 Jeff married his eternal companion Colett Hicks on May 20, 2000, in the Bountiful Utah Temple. They were blessed with two amazing boys Caden and Kyler and one sweet and sassy girl Chloe.

 He worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a data analyst. He worked with exceptional people and enjoyed serving those around him.

 Jeff served a mission in Ecuador. He was a proud Aggie and Wildcat. He was known for his insightful comments at church during Sunday School. He loved history, spending time with family, watching movies, playing games, sharing memes, potatoes, Dr Pepper, extra-long passwords and a good nap.

 We will miss his kind, willing, patient heart. He made all of us feel so loved and important. He was crazy about his kids, nieces and nephews. He loved being a dad and he loved Colett dearly.

 Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Colett; children, Caden, Kyler and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse (Adele) Jensen and Doris Jensen.

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Ward, 3161 West 150 North, Layton. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

 The family would like to thank Jeff’s care teams at McKay Dee Hospital and Huntsman Cancer ICU. We are grateful for the love, service and acts of kindness by so many family and friends.
