Jeffrey A. Magdiel 1958 a€" 2011

OGDEN a€" Jeffrey Arnold Magdiel, 52, passed away in a motorcycle accident on Boulder Mountain, Thursday, June 2, 2011. This was during the ''Wild Hog Ride'' seeing the sights of southern Utah.

He was born in Ogden, Utah, to John and Mercy Magdiel on December 27, 1958, the youngest of five children. He attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from old Ogden High School.

He was then married to Shellie Beckey in 1976 and later divorced. He married Susan Wahlstrom in 1983 and they later divorced after 25 years of marriage.

Dad devoted 33 years working for Qwest; his last position held was Construction Supervisor of Northern UT.

His favorite things in life were his grandchildren (per Dad they''re the only reason to have kids), hiking with Lucy, collecting "treasures", riding motorcycles, working in his garage, rock climbing, sailing at Bear Lake pretending to be a pirate, planning practical jokes or just BS''ing with family and friends. Dad had a fun loving and magnetic personality that endeared him to everyone he came in contact with. There is no way to express how much he will be missed but this is not good bye - just ''see yah later''.

His legacy will live on through his children, Rob Rasmussen; Jennifer Magdiel Marosok; Amber Magdiel (Matt) Lythgoe; Owen Jeffrey (Cari) Magdiel; 10 grandchildren and his best friend Lucy, his half-eared, three-toed poodle. Also surviving are his siblings, Joan (Cid) Button; Jack (Barb) Magdiel; Janet Magdiel; and Geri Magdiel (Phil Sugihara). Dad was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Dad''s wishes, he was cremated. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Family will visit with friends at the mortuary on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
