Jeffrey David Smith passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Ogden, Utah.
He was born May 29, 1965 to David and Aline Smith. He was the second child and oldest son of three daughters and two sons.
Jeff was married to Jennifer Price.
He loved fishing and golfing. He had the ability to drive the ball completely out of sight. We all know about fish stories, but Jeff''s were true.
Jeff learned to do tool work with leather from his grandfather and did very meticulous, beautiful work. He was a natural at so many things; the highest and most challenging ski jumps with no lessons were no problem, the dare devil motorcycle experiences with high speed over the jumps- he was like Evil Knievel. Jeff had a carefree attitude, a big smile on his face and a twinkle in his big blue eyes.
He worked for Union Pacific RR for 17 years then went to work for Commuter Rail Constructors for the past four years.
Jeff was very protective of his family and loved playing with his step-children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his wife, Jennifer, Clinton; step-children, Shalyn Price (Carlos Martinez), granddaughters, Kendra and Kynzlee, Clinton; James Price and grandson, Drayden, Clinton; parents, David L. and Aline Smith, North Ogden; brother, Matthew Smith, Riverdale; three sisters, Trudy (Robert) Sportsman, North Ogden; Jodi Schluter (Brian Opheikens), Clearfield; Leslee Smith (Jeremy Daniels), North Ogden; and many nieces , nephews, aunts and uncles. Jeff lived life to the fullest and was loved by all.
