Jeffrey Randolph Valentine
Jeffrey Randolph Valentine returned home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the age of 60. He passed away in his home in Kaysville, UT surrounded by his loving family.
Born to Harold and Irene Valentine on April 29, 1949 in Lynwood, CA. Jeff loved ice cream with cookies, fishing with his father, and muscle cars. Jeff always excelled in school and even skipped the fourth grade. He graduated from Arcadia High School and was an Eagle Scout.
In 1970, Jeff and his 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang caught the eye of Doris Elayne Hess. A year later, they married on January 30, 1971, in the Los Angeles temple for time and all eternity.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts in the Psychology program from USC in 1972. He went on to receive an accounting degree from BYU in 1973, and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1976.
In 1977, Jeff and Doris moved to Kaysville, UT, where they raised their six children.
Working for companies such as Arthur Anderson, Northwest Pipeline, Williams Co, and most recently Kern River, Jeff enjoyed a successful career in the accounting field. He was well-known for being thorough, hard-working, and honest in all he did.
Jeff loved the Church and served in many areas, including young men, scouting, family history, executive secretary, counselor, high councilman, and Bishop (much to the chagrin of his then-teenage children).
Jeff is survived by Doris Elayne Valentine, his wife of 38 years, children: Jared (Wendee), Aaron (Jamie), Sharon, Christopher, and Julietta "Jetta". Grandchildren: Joshua, Melodee, Holly, Jacob, Cameron, Connor, Carter, Chase, and Alexandria. Parents: Harold and Irene Valentine. Siblings: Jim (Linda) Valentine, John (Kathy) Valentine, and Jerri (Robert) Myers. Mother-in-law: Elayne Hess. Jeff was preceded in death by his son Wesley Niles Valentine and father-in-law Niles Udell Hess.
