Jenna Chalese Manuel died tragically at her home on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

Jenna was born on July 12, 1985 to her parents, Les and Carolyn (Herrera) Manuel in Layton, Utah. She attended Bonneville High School before getting her GED at Weber State College.

Jenna loved being around people and excelled in the food service industry. She worked at Iggy’s, Wing Nutz, Andy’s, and the Rock Bottom Lounge, before becoming the Manager at the Funk n Dive Bar and Grill.

She enjoyed being out in nature, hiking, camping, and tubing in the river with friends and family. Jenna’s infectious ear to ear smile would light up any room she entered and instantly raised your spirits.

Jenna is survived by her daughter and light of her life, Alana Jaide McCree, Roy; parents Les and Carolyn Manuel, Buckeye, AZ; her grandparents, Elizabeth Graham, Roy; Manuel and Debbie Herrera, Sun City, AZ; two sisters, Rachel Manuel, Salt Lake City; and Michelle Manuel, Roy; nephews, Angelo Herrera, Buckeye, AZ; Anthony Herrera, Roy; niece and goddaughter, Isabelle Herrera, Buckeye, AZ; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends whom she called family, and Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Orrel Manuel and James Graham, grandmother, Mabel Rendon, and uncle, Deano Herrera.

The family would like to thank the congregation of Roy Christian Church, Funk n Dive Bar and Grill, Rock Bottom Lounge, Golden Beverage, Reed Floral, Teri Lynkins and all the numerous vendors for all of their love and support through this trying time. We would also like to give a special thanks to Becca Ferncez and Jessica Penrod for being such loving friends to Jenna and working tirelessly to help us through the past several days.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
