Jennie L. Taylor
EDEN a" Our loving mother and grandmother passed away quietly and peacefully Thursday morning July 1, 2010 surrounded by her children in St. George, Utah. Jennie was the most caring mother anyone could have. She taught and raised her children with wisdom and love. Jennie was an incredible oil paint artist with talent well known throughout Ogden and the Valley for more than 30 years. She loved working in her beautiful yard with her daughters, Dottie and Judy and pride protruded from the footsteps she left. Travel and being with her family, including sisters-in-law, was a favorite pastime. She was always happy in the company of those she loved.
In 1934, she married Vern H. Taylor in Ogden, Utah. He passed away in 1975. Jennie''s love for Vern never left her heart, as she now joins him again, and we will all miss them together on earth. She was always happy, excited, and eager for company everyday of her life whomever and whenever, her giving hand was always out. Jennie was a true believer in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was sealed to Vern in the Temple in 1961.
She owned and operated Vern''s Dinner House and The El Chico Restaurant with her husband for nearly three decades.
Jennie is survived by her four children, Dorothy "Dottie" (Brent) Satterthwaite, Vern (Carolyn) Taylor, Jr., Judy (Randy) Stocks, and Craig (Lynnel) Taylor. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
