Jennifer Mary (Job) Connor passed away on October 10, 2023, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born on May 24, 1975, in Ogden Utah to Jeannie Taylor and Richard Job. She graduated from Roy High in 1994 and then attended classes at Weber State.
She spent her career in the medical field, creating lifelong friendships.
Jennifer and Jeff were sealed to one another in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity, on April 11, 1996. Their marriage is an enduring example of the power of love, faith, and commitment to one another. Through their 27-year marriage, Jennifer and Jeff celebrated life’s joys and endured life’s storms, hand in hand. Their legacy of love and devotion is an inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to have witnessed their companionship.
She gave birth to her daughter Katelyn on August 2, 1997, and then her son Cody on April 23, 2000. There was no greater joy in her life than her kids, of whom she was so proud of, she would do anything for Cody and Katelyn.
She became a grandma on May 13, 2021, to Navy Lynn Labrum who she called “bean” shortly after she was diagnosed with cancer. Navy was her best medicine through it all. The sun rose and set on this little girl to whom she was “Nana”. Navy adored her nana and Jen loved being “Nana”.
Jen loved to shop, but never for herself. She enjoyed baking, especially with her granddaughter. She loved the Red Sox and going to see baseball games with her brothers. She loved animals and had a very special dog named Harley. She loved anything to do with frogs. She loved to plant flowers in the spring.
She had an amazing laugh that everyone loved. She would laugh so hard she would wheeze. She had the remarkable ability to laugh at life’s most difficult challenges and find humor in small and simple ways. Jennifer knew that we were to experience joy in life, so she sought out laughter and smiles relentlessly.
She lived as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, where she had many callings in Primary, Young Women’s, Sunday School, and Relief Society. She had a special love for Elder Jeffery Holland. And was able to receive a powerful priesthood blessing from him that gave her strength and hope in the darkest times.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jeff Connor, as well as her children Katelyn (Dalton) Labrum, and Cody Connor. Including her granddaughter, Navy Labrum.
She is also survived by her Mother: Jeannie Taylor, Father: Richard (Carla) Job, and Siblings: Paul Job, and Scott (Raylene) Job.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Jay and Eva Taylor, Earnest and Lorraine Job, and her favorite uncle Danny Taylor.
Jennifer’s family would like to offer a special thanks to the many Doctors and Nurses who have cared for her over the past three years. She formed strong bonds with those who cared for her. She also had an army of friends, neighbors, and ward members who were an incredible support network for her through her battle. Jen cherished these relationships.
