Jennifer Raeann Douglass

Jennifer Raeann Douglass, 47, a short-time resident of Vale, Oregon, passed away at the home of her mother and stepfather, Thelma and Ray Whitaker, of rural Vale, Oregon

Jennifer was born on September 22, 1973, at Ogden, Utah, the second of three children born to Thelma Delight and Melvyn Douglass. She has an older sister, Evonne, and a younger brother, Kenny.  This sweet, attractive and loving daughter, sister and friend left her earth life on April 15, 2021.

Jennifer's parents divorced when she was very young.  When she was six, her mother married Ray Barlow Whitaker of Vale.  Jennifer acquired three stepsisters, Tammy, Sonja and Pamela, through this marriage, plus a half-brother, Joshua, and a half-sister, Whitnie, after her father remarried. She also has a younger brother, Allen, son of Ray and Thelma.

Jennifer was educated in Kaysville and Ogden, Utah, graduating from Ogden's Washington High School in 1991.  In her adult years, she lived in Utah, Oregon, Alaska, Washington and Hawaii.

Jennifer had a great love for children, though she never had any of her own. She worked as a nanny for many years, and also for Head Start.  Jennifer was one who drew people to her.  Whenever she was in a public place, it seemed that everyone wanted to converse with Jennifer.  She was a people magnet with her fun-loving personality. She is beloved by her family, and will be missed by all who knew her in this life.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cornelius and Hillegonda Delight.  She is survived by her parents, Ray and Thelma Whitaker, her sister Evonne Wilson, her brother Kenny Douglass, half-brothers Allen Whitaker and Joshua Douglass, half-sister Whitnie Douglass, father Melvyn Douglass, stepsisters Tammy Dittoe, Sonja McCoy, and Pamela Shaw.
