Jeremy Paul Castillo

Jeremy Paul Castillo, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, crossed over the veil into the loving arms of his grandparents.

Jeremy grew up in Roy and graduated from Roy High School in 2004, where he lettered in football, baseball and basketball all three years he was there. He loved sports and was a natural athlete and excelled at anything he played. He played on various softball teams from the time he was 14. Jeremy was loved and respected in the sports community.

Jeremy will always be remembered as the gorgeous boy with those eyes that no one could get over, but J didn’t just have a beautiful face, his heart was made of gold. Everyone he met, he touched their life in some way or another. Jeremy could make you laugh even when you were mad at him for something stupid he did; you could never stay mad at him for anything. Jeremy was the light of so many people’s lives.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He worked as an Arborist, tree trimmer. He loved to go paint balling, playing with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed music and Harry Potter. He would eat everything. Most importantly he loved being with his family.

Jeremy was blessed at a young age to become a father to a beautiful baby girl, Oakley and when Oakley passed away, J changed and never thought he would find happiness in his life again, but then he met Michelle and they had the pride and joy of J’s life, Kinley Jade Castillo. Kinely was J’s life, his heart and his soul. Kinley was the light of J’s life and he loved her more than life itself and when they were together, their lives lit up any room and everyone could see how much they loved each other. Kinley would always say, “That’s my Daddy” and never leave his side….she loved him so much and their bond is eternal.

Jeremy had a special bond with his brothers and sisters…Jessica will always be his fat girl and he was definitely the only one that could call her that, knowing he was going to get beat at any time, but throughout their life it was always J and Jess…Tony and J got into some serious mischief together and their favorite story to hear is when J said, “Peep” and the baseball card incident … Shae always was there by her brothers side, the one that never fought with him ever. Rigo and J were the perfect brothers, they were just them and Rigo looked up to J and J always tried to be what Rig saw him as…When Boo was born he immediately became J’s other half, if anyone knows them, they know Boo is like a little J in the making. Cait will always be his baby, she made him laugh in ways that no one else could. J and his mom had a bond that was indescribable and with that they had their ups and downs, but throughout J’s life it was his mom that was always by his side, his biggest support and he was her pride and joy and as J called it always her favorite.

Jeremy is survived by his daughter, Kinley Jade Castillo; parents, Lynette & Navor Bustos, and Jeffery Castillo; brothers, Tony and Felicia Bustos, Rigo Bustos, Boo Bustos, and Jayce Castillo; sisters, Jessica and Mani Murillo, Shalee Bustos, Caitlyn Bustos, Anjalek Castillo, Alexxis Castillo; grandparents, Silvestre and Jane Peregina, and Emelia Bustos; and great-grandma, Soila Castillo. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Oakley Marie Ferncez-Castillo; grandparents, Edward and Cherie Hoerman, and brother, Joshua Joe Castillo.
