Jeremy Edward “Bearsy” Elder

SYRACUSE - Jeremy Edward Elder “Bearsy” passed away peacefully Sunday June 22, 2014 in Orem, Utah. He was born February 20, 1986 in Salt Lake City.

Bearsy blessed everyone he met with his bright smile and kind eyes.  His gift of love touched all who came within his circle of influence.  Jeremy loved girls (especially cute blonds), camo, chocolate, Cherry Coke, head scratches, florescent green, and going away to school in Orem.  Though he could not speak, he taught everyone much about life, love, and caring.  Although his body would not allow him to run, jump, or skip; his life was filled with kindness, laughter, and love.  He was truly one of a kind, a spiritual giant.

A special thanks to all those at Topham’s Tiny Tots and S.T.E.P.S in Orem for the love, care, and attention given to Jeremy.  He is survived by his parents, Ted & Christy Elder of Syracuse, Utah, siblings Jake (Victoria) Elder, John (Mallory) Elder, Hillary (Zac) Robinson, and Justin Elder (Haden Karas).  He was loved and admired by his nephews and nieces Daxton, Harrison, Gemma, Leo, Archer, and Norah.  No one loved Jeremy more than his best friend Susan (Brad) Zollinger.  Jeremy was truly loved.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo (Ted) and Carol Elder; David, Phyllis, and Kay Gailey.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 3065 South Bluff Road, Syracuse, Utah.  Friends may visit with family on Friday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
