Jeremy George Gebo, 44, was tragically taken from us on March 23, 2024, in Laughlin, Nevada, while riding his motorcycle alongside 11 others.
Gebo was born on October 17, 1979, in New Hartford, New York. As a child, he relocated to many states and countries until he finally found “home” in Utah, where he raised his two girls. He never passed up a breakfast date, long phone calls, or a chance to express just how proud he was of the women they had become. He made sure everyone knew how much he adored them.
He began working for Whitaker Construction in January 2004, in which he excelled in all that he did, setting the bar high for fellow colleagues. He was a natural born leader. Even in the midst of chaos, he maintained a calming presence that brought peace to others. Gebo was promoted to Superintendent over Southern Utah in January 2021. There he oversaw the establishment of the Saint George natural gas division.
Gebo was a man of many talents. While he took great pride in his viking tattoos, 2023 Street Glide, sourdough starters, and crocheting, the thing he enjoyed most was cooking for and spending quality time with his loved ones. Each of his meals were made with love and cooked to perfection.
Gebo always emphasized that blood didn’t define family. Though he is survived by many, we’d like to acknowledge his children, Josh Briggs, Natia Gebo, Kembrey Gebo, Rocky Hatch, and Braelee Hatch; god-son, Tuff Hatch; grandson Rowdy Hatch; and niece Lilly Mendez. Preceded in death by his son, Gavin George Gebo.
