Jerry Paul Craven
Jerry Paul Craven, 34, of Clearfield, Utah, died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at McKay-Dee Hospital ICU due to heart failure.
He was born September 2, 1980 in Ogden, Utah to Laurie H. Kap and Roger Craven.
Jerry’s main love in life was his son Jaxyn. They meant the world to each other. Jerry also loved Jaxyn’s half sisters, Avery and Jocelyn. They were also a big part of his life, along with the rest of his family.
Jerry was a kind man, he was especially good with animals and children, and they loved him.
Jerry was a talented artist; he loved painting pictures and drawing. He loved riding bikes with his son and just spending as much time with him as he could. Jerry was a basketball and football enthusiast and also liked working on cars. He worked in various industries including construction, forklift driver and telecommunications.
Jerry will be missed by all. It is such a loss to all that loved him. He is now at peace, no longer in pain and with his Heavenly Father.
Surviving are his mother Laurie Kap of Clearfield, father Roger Craven of Salt Lake City, son Jaxyn Craven, brother Joshua (Blake Warner) Craven, sister, Adrianna Craven, grandmother Boots Haskell, step-brother Nick Kap and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Jerry Kap, step-brother Tim Kap, grandfather Wendell Haskell, grandmother Quaninta Gardner and grandfather Robert Craven.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 So. 1000 W., Syracuse. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
