Jerry Lee Rogers

1937 – 2014

Jerry Lee Rogers, age 76, passed away at his home in Bountiful with family by his side on November 9, 2014.

Jerry was born December 14, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lee L. Rogers and Orlean Briggs.  He married Merilyn Rogers on September 27, 1956.  He later married Lu Dean Ellis on March 29, 1996.

He is survived by his children Lynnett and Gale A. Rueckert and sister Leone Rogers. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Merilyn Rogers, son Alan J. Rogers, sisters Donna R. Weldon, and Erma R. Bardsley.   We would like to offer a special thanks to his nurses, Julie and Allisha, for their loving care.  Service to others was Jerry’s lifelong goal, and this endless service helped him live a very happy and fulfilled life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Bountiful 43 ^rd Ward Chapel, 990 N. 100 W.  Friends may visit family Friday, Nov. 14 ^th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. from 9:30- 10:30 am at the Church prior to services.  Interment Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Bountiful, Utah.
