Jesse Laurence "Laurie" Shaw

Jesse Laurence “Laurie” Shaw, 83, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.  He was born on November 9, 1933 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Jesse A. and Sara Agee Shaw.  He grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State College.  He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Air Force from 1950 through 1954.

Jesse married Marian Evans on  May 14, 1956.  They celebrated 60 years of marriage last May..

He was self-employed at Four Seasons Travel Service for 24 years and was employed by United Airlines for over 16 years.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Marian; son, Christopher L. (Janet) Shaw; three grandchildren, Mitchell L. (Amanda) Shaw, Megan (Gage) Arnold, and Rachel (Philip) Suiter; great-grandchildren, Audrey Arnold, Violet Arnold, Benny Suiter, and Charlie Shaw; brother, James R. Shaw; and nephew, Greg Shaw.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Patricia Phipps.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
