Jessica Cathryn Hennefer
“Little J”
Jessica was born on September 3, 1986, to Brett L. Hennefer and Jolene Rives Hennefer. She passed away November 25, 2019, due to complications after surgery.
Jessica was preceded in death by her grandparents Richard S. Hennefer, Ruby Mae Moffit Hennefer, Rell W. Rives Jr., Cathryn Whetton Rives, her mother Jolene Rives and her cousin Steven James Black Jr.
Jessica was always bubbly and friendly, as well as having an enthusiastic “Hi!” when coming home. Jessica and her daughter Maddy loved watching videos on Facebook and YouTube in the morning hours and giggled until school started. Their evenings were spent listening to the amazing stories Maddy had written, doing silly videos, or snuggling together and watching a movie before bed. Maddy was Jessica’s joy.
Jessica also loved spending time with Maddy, her boyfriend Eric Hutchinson and his two daughters, Brinley and Elsie, whom she loved as her own. They enjoyed camping, hiking, shooting, and boating with Eric’s parents, Jake and Shelly Hutchinson. Eric and Jessica were looking forward to starting a life together.
Jessica super loved her dad and called him every day. He sorely misses her voice and those daily calls to tell him, “I Love You.” She will always be his “Little J.”
As a child, their family loved to go camping, fishing and skiing. As time passed, she and her brother Adam became inseparable and best friends, especially during his times of chronic illness.
Jessica and her step-sister Melissa were the best of friends. They visited and talked on almost a daily basis. They confided in each other, laughed, cried and talked about their children. Jessica and her step-mom, Christina (Tina) loved each other like a mother and child. Deeply rooted love, mixed with scoldings, good ole adult spankings with encouragement and nudging to move toward the amazing things she could be and achieve.
Jessica will also be dearly missed by her other step-brothers Kelly and Anthony.
She is survived by her father Brett L. Hennefer (Christina Hennefer), her brothers Adam Richard Hennefer, Kelly Clark Chidester, Anthony Ross Campos, as well as her favorite sister and friend Melissa Dawn Chidester.
She is also survived by a large extended family of loving step-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, nephews and step-all-of-the-above, who all loved her dearly as well.
